So yeah, we went to the KY Louisville zoo. It was a pretty nice zoo; small, but it had some nice animals and attractions. Some things I saw: a giant 30 year old python, a white crocodile, penguins, a kimodo dragon, a beautiful ocelot, a tapir named Chip, a naked molerat colony, a gecko hiding behind the leaves in his tank in the corner (took me a while to find him), a tiger, and of course the lions. I got to have an icecream cone, ride on the tram around the zoo for an overview tour, and see some lorakeet birds. You could pay a $1.50 to feed them a small cup of nectar (my sister and I chose not to do this) however an older gentleman there gave half of his to me and a lorakeet landed on my hand and I watched it drink the nectar. The lorakeet's claws felt weird but it was so cool!

The ocelot was especially marvelous. To me it was the highlight of the trip, although stupidly I made no sketches of it. If the photos in the camera turn out well I may make a drawing from those. I got to make several pages of sketches in my notebook and ALMOST used it up, and I colored it somewhat while we were at Johnny Carino's. I'll post some pictures later. I got to sketch a lot of the first half of the zoo, but not the second half because we were trying to see everything. Plus I only got about ten or fifteen seconds per animal anyway.

We got a new game called Traders of Genoa, at which I lost HORRIBLY, but it still seems like it will be a fun game. It reminds me a lot of Princes of Florence.
